Dr Chandra Kant Katiyar

Dr. Katiyar is a highly accomplished professional in the field of Ayurvedic medicine. With an MD in Ayurveda and a Ph.D. in Rasa Shastra/Pharmacology from Banaras Hindu University, he uniquely bridges ancient Ayurvedic wisdom with modern scientific understanding.

Dr. Katiyar boasts over 30 years of industry experience, spanning Ayurvedic medicines to pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals. Currently, as the CEO of Health Care (Technical) at Emami Ltd., he’s revitalized the company’s focus on health care, introducing cutting-edge technologies in Ayurvedic drug development.

Prior to Emami, he served as Vice President and Head of Research and Development at Dabur India Ltd. for about 17 years, contributing to the development of Ayurvedic/herbal and pharmaceutical products.

Dr. Katiyar is a member of various important bodies, including the Drugs Technical Advisory Board of the Ministry of AYUSH, and has made significant contributions to research on herbal drugs, quality control, policy-making, and regulatory affairs. He is an esteemed author, with several publications, awards, and orations to his name, and holds leadership positions in multiple professional associations.
